Campaign Finance Reports are In!!!
Another busy week with lots of baseball & softball practices and games to keep the summer days flying by and it has been HOT, but no rain, so it's ok with me!
It's campaign finance report time! Time to follow the money.
First of all, I would like to thank all of the people who donated to my campaign between May 15-19th. All of you were very generous!
We received $238 on Election Day from 10 different people (mostly Democrats) with donations ranging in amounts from $10-$50 each. Over half of these donations were from Fayette and Westmoreland County Democratic Committee people who were upset with how their party ran the primary election.
They did not elaborate and I didn't ask for specifics, but they were very upset!
Election Day was very cold, but it was very heart warming to have so many Democrats wish me luck and tell me that they wish they could vote for me.
We also received $145 from 4 people from 5/17-5/19, with donations ranging from $20-$50.
We received donations totaling $1846.53 from myself, my uncle, and Cheryl Koontz all of whom live within the 52nd District.
The above donations were all listed on the Cycle 3 Finance Report filed for me personally as William R. Earnesty.
We also filed a cycle 3 report for my William R. Earnesty Election Committee, but since the total of all transactions were less than $250, per Pennsylvania Campaign Finance Laws, we didn't have to list each transaction on the report, but since I am for open records, I will list them here.
The committee received a $100 contribution and an in kind contribution of approximately $50.
The in kind contribution was in the form of approximately 40 used campaign signs and stakes received from a Fayette County Democrat candidate that lost in the primary.
Thank you very much to everyone that contributed to my campaign in either monetary contributions or by donating your time!!!
If you have time, please check out this link for all of the Campaign Finance Reports for the 52nd District candidates and as you view them notice the addresses of the contributors and wonder why someone from outside the district and/or state would be contributing so much money to a certain campaign.
I will be posting soon (some time between Monday and Wednesday) about Ms. Kula's report.
Wait until you see who donated $8000 to her campaign!!!
You may or may not be surprised, but our committee is holding a contest to the best comment, idea, guess, or reasoning behind why the Heinz-Kerry family would be so interested in influencing your election. How can someone be "for the people" when you accept money from people who don't live in Pittsburgh or Washington, DC?
You can email your entries to electearnesty@zoominternet.net.
The best entry (whether it is serious or funny) will receive an Elect William R. Earnesty T-Shirt or some other item comparable in value.
I continue to receive lots of emails every week from citizens looking to volunteer for the upcoming elections. Please keep the emails coming, because I enjoy hearing from all of you!!!
Until Next Time...Have A Great Day!!!
